A New Abstracted Landscape

This is the most recent painting I've completed. With a Hawaii Watercolor Society Show coming up, I returned to my abstracted volcanic landscape method of ink and watercolor. It was fun to do a painting that is more about responding to the medium, than a painting that requires more planning and thinking. I'll be sending an image off to the competition this week.

I'm currently using the title "Release," but if you have a great title, please pass it along.

Nice, colorful, well designed...my only alternative title would be 'Emerging'...and I think yours is fine. LaVonne

My first thought when looking at all those litle white shapes reaching upwards was "coral." Looking at the red getting ready to take over and sending up a trial baloon, I named it "CORAL ME RED." Aren't you glad you asked?

"Bursting with Life" is my suggestion. It's colorful and I immediately thougth of here (Hi.) without having read your comments first.

Maybe the title could have the word "force" or "energy" in it.
What do you think of Earth Force or Earth Energy?
Good to see the force and energy in your painting.

I think "Awakening" is another
great title.
