A Fall Hike

The weekend before last we were lucky enough to have lots of family visit in conjunction with fabulous fall weather. On Saturday we headed out for a short hike to Frissell Peak in hopes of seeing lots of mountain peaks and finding huckleberries to pick. Our starting point presented a photo-op with Mount Washington in the background.

The walk up to the top of the ridge is about 1/2 mile. We found plenty of huckleberry bushes, but very little fruit.

Our little grandson had no worries as he enjoyed the scenery from a sling.

Finally at the top we sat down, had snacks and enjoyed the view. Big smiles all around!

The view was so spectacular with the Three Sisters as a backdrop, we took turns posing for our Christmas card photos, first Mike and me...

Then it was time to head back down the trail. This time, two little people got a ride.

Oh, that these lovely, sunny fall days would last!
