Family (especially Grand-kids), people from faraway places and rafting are what Blue River summers are about. Mike and I pride ourselves in having a bit of paradise to share. As the summer weather has finally arrived, here is my summer checklist for Blue River essentials.
Front yard: chairs ready for visiting, garden blooming, lawn mowed. Check!
Front pond:
rope swing invitingly dangling, chair for supervising adult, orange fishnet ready for frog and salamander catching.
Check!
Back woods: newly secured and tested longest swing possible. Check!
Back pond: trout to feed and waterfall running. Check!
Back patio: table ready for bbq's, umbrella to provide shade. Check!
Pasture: Little Bit up and ready to go. Check!
Let the summer begin!

Wow, Margaret, a lot of that was in place when I visited you that year. You guys do a beautiful job with your property. And then you prepare it to share with others. Your grandkids are so fortunate that they have you and w/in visiting range. Hope they know it. You and Mike are a great team and wonderful parents and grandparents. Love to you both, Petie
I'll be right down! Only have one snag. I am in charge of a 50 person family reunion at the beach...Camp Magruder...this weekend. Your place looks soooo inviting. Have fun with the grand-kids, etc.

Ah, to be a child at your place. I think I can fake it, if I could only make time to get there :) Have a wonderful time with those precious youngsters Margaret!
Yes wow, Margaret, I want to go swinging under that beautiful tree! You have it all!
Aloha Margaret,
Has Sunset contacted you yet? You should have this house/grounds in the magazine! Gorgeous!
Hugs to you both,
Mahealani
Love the cowboy (girl) boots on Angelica!
Let the summer fun begin! Marline
