People's Choice Award

Last Friday I found out that "Proud Lady" won the People's Choice Award at the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House art exhibit. Since the show opened June 1, 2009, visitors had been given ballots to choose their favorite piece of art. I'm very happy about it.

Further exposure came to the painting as it was the one painting featured on Lane Arts Council's First Friday Art Walk flyer.

Congratulations Margaret! Loved all your pictures of the Rogue River too! Looks like it was a very fun trip! There's nothing like getting away from it all and watching the river flow is there?

Congratulations!! I did see it at the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House. It was the only stop we made during the Friday art walk, as we had attended a lecture at the Eugene Library that evening. It is a very nice art piece.....I know you spent a good deal of time on it.
